mother's day celebration - dc31

for the past few years, we bought cakes from bakery for my mum in law as mother's day gift. this year, i want to do some cost saving here, coz 1 cake cost about rm60-70, if we bake our own cake, it cost rm10 the most. for simple cake la, my skillset level punya cake, rm10 can gaotim :p

so i baked a brownies walnut cake. it took me nearly an hour to be done. n i dont have the skewer, so my sis n i poke the cake with chopstick to see it done or not. i poke 1 hold only, sis tolong checked the cake for few times, then got so many holes :( so ugly!!

hmmm bcoz i was rushing, n i had no other better gift idea to my in law..

so i packed it up n brought it to sgbuloh..

once reached dc31, laogong said 'mummy, michelle baked a cake for u' then mum in law, 'har? u bake your own cake? :D my daughter in law can bake her own cake, i am so happy!' i shy shy entered the house. grandparents were so happy to meet up with grandchildren :D bbb were happy too, gong gong n po po here n there. especially there were so much food from grandparents, mummy said NO! also they didnt bother to listen :~

we makan dinner there. after dinner, parents in law n bbb n laogong went out to the playground. i stayed in the house n reading all the letters. a big pile! non stop buka those envelopes, i shall change my mailling addresses.. :( then they came back, sweating! 'mama mama mama' happy to see them :D i buat susu ready for them. then changed diapers for them.

then cake cutting ceremony started with my bro in law as well. father in law asked me, 'where did u buy this cake?' i baked it 'u baked it? i am very seldom to eat cake, but this one i like it, it is so tasty, not too sweet, ngam ngam' he repeated this twice. can feel that they really want to make me happy :) good encouragement from papa n mama :D

we left dc31 at nearly 9pm. hmmm miss the house actually. when i was in the house, all those old memories popping up, last time laogong used to do the house works there then i cooked in the kitchen, weekend we cleaned the curtian, bedsheet... those days :) well, grandpa n grandma non stop spoilt bbb with all the request, non stop food providing. ended up, angel threw out in the car on the way back home. hmm :( to in law, i might be a cruel mama, always stop my children from eating, but, they didnt understand, my children are premature babies, they are habitual vomitter, they have night asthma, they cant take food in big amount, they are not big eater.. hmm.. never mind la, luckily my mum controlled them well.. once a while like this, takpe lo.. as long as old ppl happy..

anyway, am happy to do something for in law to make them happy. hope 1 day, they can be proud with me this fatty daughter in law who is always tak dengar kata one :p

090509 saturday. we started preparing the food from afternoon. eldest bro came early, non stop asking when the food can be served :p both of us are newbie, super slow in everything keke.. while sis was cooking the rojak kuah, i non stop cutting n chopping, garlic la, onion la, cucumber, cabbage, apples, watermelon.. oh ya, the 4 big brown sotong. bro in law bruce helped us in preparing the cincau drink, maid kakak helped much in washing n cleaning in the kitchen. sis cooked under pressure, can see her face hor, so stressed! relax la.. she said, so many ppl she got tension n her brain shut off! :p mama came to the kitchen wanna helped out, or giving advise, being halau by sis ooo.. 'ma, ni qu shui la, qi lai jiu ke yi chi le' (ma, u go to sleep la, when u wake up u can eat already) mama also :p kekeke..

while sitting n eating, mama told grandma, 'u see, me n apple (my dad) 2 of us, can bring so many children and grandchildren..' last time i cooked for them, now they cook for me, n taste so nice!' my kai-ma (my mama's sis) 'their cooking got your taste n style!' can see SMILE in mama's face n happy to see all of us happily gathering. simple makan makan with LOVE. as what royee mentioned 'oh ya, i know who is not here already, wai gong! (grandpa)' yes, papa didnt join us, he was having something with his friends.. hope the coming father's day, we can do something special for papa too! :)

on sunday morning, i baked orange poppyseed muffins to my mama n bbb. bbb love it. mama told grandma 'wahhh.. last time i learned n baked for them, now my daughter baked cakes for me! hmmm taste not bad' :D happy lo..

who is taller?

wondering since when, angel has grown taller than eva :D in fact, they are heavier now. children grow very fast!! n laogong started complaning my wrinkle la, my face skin texture la.. ai.. how to get more sleep har? today in the office, got to know 1 of the colleague here sleeps very early everyday, his time table set. every night he sleeps at 10pm, then wakes up at 5am+ n leave the house at 6am+? then they said, u can see he looks young right? he is in fact 46 years old already. ya, fair n nice skin.. maybe, few years later la, i can have good night sleep. before my children grow bigger to teenager time, by then, i think i cant sleep well, may worry why they dont come back at this time, then boy friend gal friend issue.. wow.. banyak hal la.. :p

london bridge is falling down~

1 of the nite i played with bbb - london bridge is falling down. they invited their papa as well. bbb were so enjoying this, they sang they took turn to be the bridge, when someone got caught, then all of us kakakakaka.. so funny! :D they were playing till nearly 11pm from nearly 9pm!!! they didnt want to go to sleep until i became a very fierce mama :~

the next day, when i reached home after work, royee asked me, 'mummy, tonight we play london bridge is falling down har...' it was 9pm+ i said, no.. u r suppose to go to sleep at 9:30pm, weekend only we play.. dissapointed face :( hmmm..

wanna start working in very face pace, the system was on freeze for more than 6 weeks, finally, UNFREEZE! what a relief, so today n these few days, we need to work super efficient to clear all the backlogs. wow! with all the LOVE note received, i can work like a superwoman!! yo~ yo~
