jackfruit cookies for sunday teatime

when sis n i were doing some hand craft in one of the easy n lazy sunday afternoon, then my 2nd bro n eldest bro called n came n wanted to have dinner at bkt31. wow! we didnt buy any food for the last weekend. it was 3:30pm when i received the call. super fast i went n sleepkan bbb. they supposed to take afternoon nap at 1pm+ as per their daily time table, hmmm so better to let them take a short nap, before they started being cranky n noisy, fighting here n there, n i need TIMESSSS to prepare the dinner!

after bbb slept, i went n baked cookies with the ingredients that i had prepared since the morning! the same recipe i used for ABC cookies, n i replace chocalate rice with jackfruit! my mama gave us a box of sweet n yummy jackfruit, so i made use of it.

so the rushing.. the shape of the cookies also macam macam :S

no deco no nothing, freshly baked n served immediately with hot peppermint tea :D

after the cookies baking, we chit chatting... nice to have 4 sibllings gather together unexpectedly :D easy n warm teatime talk ^_^ then i went n prepared the dinner. normally we didnt cook n eat processed food like sausage, frozen fried chicken at home.. but since the fridge is half emptied.. have to lo~ thanks mama who always buy backup food for us :p i made sure i cooked enough rice, to feed brothers with enough rice n hope not much complaint about the food :p

i cooked sweet n sour hotdogs + potato cube + mixed vege, the seewed egg soup, then sis cooked the sambal ikan bilis and the tomyam sauce fried chicken.. to make the tomyam sauce friend chicken to be more presentable, we slice the only half of the big onion to put on top of it :p very fast everything we put on the table, without thinking the which table set to be used, just served! :p it was 6pm+!

surprisingly, gogo n digo said 'wahh.. got mama's style ooo.. looks nice!!' kekeke.. what a great compliment :D my digo told my eldest gogo 'not bad, they can cook quite well now' coz my digo came quite often to bkt31 for bringing bbb to playground or play with them n for sunday dinner as well. eh, not easy to get compliment from my digo one, coz he was singapore 5-stars hotel chef for past years.. now 'retired' already :p then my gogo said 'ohh.. then i should come more often for free dinner' akakaka.. it's ok, come la come la, i would make sure my lovely mama will buy more backup food for us :D n as what my sis said 'meh, next time pls make sure u are prepared with some muffin n cake recipes n ingredients, if case guest come, then we can do something nice for the guest' hehe..

memang home style la, dont care about table setting n matching one.. own brothers n sis in law ma :p

we managed to get everyone to sign on this special handmade gift for father's day. sis did this in saturday midnite :D to our great lovely papa! my papa's nickname is apple :D n 4 of us are small apples, ppl used to call us 'peng ko gia' :p where is my mama then? can u see the small but OUTSTANDING green leaf? yes! our mama's role is always the outstanding one :D naughty sis, she said, at 1st she wanted to design the BIG apple with a cute little worm.. then she said, forget about it la, later mummy not happy :p OF COURSE LA!

weekly medic planner

wanted to buy this since many many months ago, i just got it from pharmacy at kl sentral this morning. will bring it back to papa tonight, hope he finds this is useful for his daily medic pill intake. papa always 'have i taken this pill this morning? no no, morning i have taken, afternoon...' hmmm need to take so many pills in a day has been a BIG headache, somemore need to recall the frequencies of a day hmmm.. if papa likes this n find it useful, i will buy another for mama. n this time, i will go together with sis to guardian pharmacy, to get staff discount :p it is rm22.90.

really hope papa will like it :)

090509 saturday. we started preparing the food from afternoon. eldest bro came early, non stop asking when the food can be served :p both of us are newbie, super slow in everything keke.. while sis was cooking the rojak kuah, i non stop cutting n chopping, garlic la, onion la, cucumber, cabbage, apples, watermelon.. oh ya, the 4 big brown sotong. bro in law bruce helped us in preparing the cincau drink, maid kakak helped much in washing n cleaning in the kitchen. sis cooked under pressure, can see her face hor, so stressed! relax la.. she said, so many ppl she got tension n her brain shut off! :p mama came to the kitchen wanna helped out, or giving advise, being halau by sis ooo.. 'ma, ni qu shui la, qi lai jiu ke yi chi le' (ma, u go to sleep la, when u wake up u can eat already) mama also :p kekeke..

(grandpa)' yes, papa didnt join us, he was having something with his friends.. hope the coming father's day, we can do something special for papa too! :)

on sunday morning, i baked orange poppyseed muffins to my mama n bbb. bbb love it. mama told grandma 'wahhh.. last time i learned n baked for them, now my daughter baked cakes for me! hmmm taste not bad' :D happy lo..

cute hor.. so adorable. in parents house, full of little jet's photos hehe. this is the 1 of them that stick on the family whiteboard. so fast, he is going to be 7 mth this week. yesterday dasao caome to my house to borrow pregnancy books, then sis asked 'har, ni you liao ar?' (u pregnant ar?)then dasao 'mei you la' (no la) kekeke.. dasao's friend want to borrow the chinese pregnancy books. then my bro said '2nd one? no la, 1st one already so kelam kabut already, let us settle with 1 1st then only think of the 2nd one' :p my bro asked me to keep all the pregnancy books nicely, so we can pass the book to friends n family from generation to generations.. wahh so nice hor, ppl pass things like golden chain la, ring la.. for me, i pass the books.. ok la, knowledge ma.. i like to share, the more we share, the more we learn ^_^ last week junie did suggest to me to put in my pregnancy stories in blog, so ppl can learn more knowledge n know the experience.. ya, but how to start ler ^_^

after cutting cake, we went to makan seafood. happily eating n chatting there.. very yummy! all happy happy. then went back home, ya, is the time to burn our fat. the car tyre got punched hmmm..


lucky thing is, we were not alone. we were 4 together, so still can laugh laugh talk talk. then thanks to my digo, helped us a lot with his heavy weight :p that night, so many stars in the sky. while ppl were busy settled the thing, i looked at the sky i refresh myself with the spirit :D

wanna keep some pama pic here. non stop i viewing the photo album. wondering why, i feel sad to look at the pic, my eyes gone wet when i see these pics.. yesterday, i sms laogong, 'u take care your parents, i take care my parents, they are about the same age, so what my parents are facing now, your parents might be having the same prob. now is the time we do something before everything is too late' yup, want me to take care both sides, of course i would be tired. so lets work together, is time for us to do something for our parents.

that day, mum told me 'how i wish i can always be healthy, how i wish i can take care your children year by year, let them study here. but if i myself cannot walk, n need ppl to take care me, then how to handle your children? i also ask your papa to go n see doctor. we need to take care our health so we wont trouble our children. everyone has their own family. see, if one day, papa needs someone to take care him, then i cannot walk, i dont think u will just hire a maid to take care us rite? if u stay at home n take care of us, then it would be so sorry to u. so, i would rather to take care myself, dont want to trouble everyone. last time, when u all were small, we hold u n walk, now, u come to hold us n walk. we were changing diapers for u, later on would be your time to change diapers for us. last time we tried to understand what u were talking when u learned to speak, sooner or later, u all wont get what your papa talking already...'

:~ yes. a cycle. a life cycle. from baby to adult then back to baby again. i understand this. but, i cant take it when i knew papa almost felt down in china airport. i dont know how i can take it if one day, my papa n mama r away from me hmm. this morning i sms to my gogo digo n sis, tell them about my feeling, n hope we can make our papa mama happy with us when they can feel the happiness. thank God for giving me lovely n caring siblings, who are having the same thought n will together work out something n company papa n mama more ^_^
