bday cuppy cakes

ya spending my mc to non stp backing cuppy cakes in the afternoon. it is quite challenging coz my lower abdomen been in pain, it is either strong force or light pain. so while baking the cakes, royee was always on my mind, coz this is the only support for me to move on. am hoping for his sunny smile when seeing these cakes, and celebrate his bday with his friends. last weekend i had completed packaging the party pack, now, the cakes. i did sms As, 'xlarat ooo.. sakit oo.. now face down on the sofa' ya, i dislike uncertainty, especially when the pain nonstop reminding me my my body is sick, but i dont know what it is. aiks.. i told As i was sad, coz am pushing myself to do everything that can cheer up my bbb, n am afraid of the time limit that i can be with my children. am treating my every today as the last day.. so better sleep less n do more.

BBQ chicken tortilla

1st time doing this.. taste not bad ^_^ good for breakfast or tea time..

minced chicken, cheese, onion, wholemeal tortilla, bbq sauce

lightly heat up 1 side..

then the other side.. then put in the incredients..

this one, not ok for me.. too crispy.. 1st try rejected (for kakak, many chicken cubes) :p

this one better.. the cheese melted when we wrapped up the tortilla..

jackfruit cookies for sunday teatime

when sis n i were doing some hand craft in one of the easy n lazy sunday afternoon, then my 2nd bro n eldest bro called n came n wanted to have dinner at bkt31. wow! we didnt buy any food for the last weekend. it was 3:30pm when i received the call. super fast i went n sleepkan bbb. they supposed to take afternoon nap at 1pm+ as per their daily time table, hmmm so better to let them take a short nap, before they started being cranky n noisy, fighting here n there, n i need TIMESSSS to prepare the dinner!

after bbb slept, i went n baked cookies with the ingredients that i had prepared since the morning! the same recipe i used for ABC cookies, n i replace chocalate rice with jackfruit! my mama gave us a box of sweet n yummy jackfruit, so i made use of it.

so the rushing.. the shape of the cookies also macam macam :S

no deco no nothing, freshly baked n served immediately with hot peppermint tea :D

after the cookies baking, we chit chatting... nice to have 4 sibllings gather together unexpectedly :D easy n warm teatime talk ^_^ then i went n prepared the dinner. normally we didnt cook n eat processed food like sausage, frozen fried chicken at home.. but since the fridge is half emptied.. have to lo~ thanks mama who always buy backup food for us :p i made sure i cooked enough rice, to feed brothers with enough rice n hope not much complaint about the food :p

i cooked sweet n sour hotdogs + potato cube + mixed vege, the seewed egg soup, then sis cooked the sambal ikan bilis and the tomyam sauce fried chicken.. to make the tomyam sauce friend chicken to be more presentable, we slice the only half of the big onion to put on top of it :p very fast everything we put on the table, without thinking the which table set to be used, just served! :p it was 6pm+!

surprisingly, gogo n digo said 'wahh.. got mama's style ooo.. looks nice!!' kekeke.. what a great compliment :D my digo told my eldest gogo 'not bad, they can cook quite well now' coz my digo came quite often to bkt31 for bringing bbb to playground or play with them n for sunday dinner as well. eh, not easy to get compliment from my digo one, coz he was singapore 5-stars hotel chef for past years.. now 'retired' already :p then my gogo said 'ohh.. then i should come more often for free dinner' akakaka.. it's ok, come la come la, i would make sure my lovely mama will buy more backup food for us :D n as what my sis said 'meh, next time pls make sure u are prepared with some muffin n cake recipes n ingredients, if case guest come, then we can do something nice for the guest' hehe..

memang home style la, dont care about table setting n matching one.. own brothers n sis in law ma :p

we managed to get everyone to sign on this special handmade gift for father's day. sis did this in saturday midnite :D to our great lovely papa! my papa's nickname is apple :D n 4 of us are small apples, ppl used to call us 'peng ko gia' :p where is my mama then? can u see the small but OUTSTANDING green leaf? yes! our mama's role is always the outstanding one :D naughty sis, she said, at 1st she wanted to design the BIG apple with a cute little worm.. then she said, forget about it la, later mummy not happy :p OF COURSE LA!

baking class - croissant

saturday morning we went to bagus to buy some baking stuff. then found out there was a free class for members on cookies baking and cupcakes deco in the same day. so we registered for it n reached there at 2pm+. waited n waited, the chef didnt turn up. the organizser apologized for it, then he showed us how to make croissant instead. i like this class, i learned a lot from there, for the beginners like me n my sis, all the single tip is soooooo unseful and knowledge to us :p we got to know what's the different betweens different types of flour, then control the oven heat and much much more good techniques.. tell u, we didnt even know how to dust the flour on the table platform when we handling the dought :p a good class to me, so we were looking forward for this coming saturday cookies class :D

went to Bagus to buy small muffin mould. then royee picked up the alphabets cookies cutter n wanted me to buy. he thot it was toy. ok, rm6, i bought it. i explained to him this is not a toy, this is for cookies. he said, 'ok la, then we bake cookies together, i help u to chop chop chop' :D i love my boy so much ooo.. when he is growing bigger, he is more matured n understanding. senang mummy :D

reached home, before i went online to look for simple cookies recipe, i found there is chocalate chips cookies recipe on the packaging of the alphabets cutter :) and we had all the ingredients at home. so i baked the cookies on sunday morning n told bbb, tomorrow u all bring the cookies and share wtih your classmates ya!

butter, brown sugar, egg yolks, chocalate chips, plain flour, self-raising flour, corn flour vallina essense

my cute n sweet twin 2. looking for another name with angel in it. when it was 1st admission in hospital in mth 6+ when i was watching tv in the room, it was an english movie showing a pretty n elegant woman in a big green field. love the scene n the lovely gal. then i got this name!

bbb love the cookies, but they only asking for alphabet M. M for michelle n mummy. crying yo if i gave them other alphabets. then finished off the M alphabets, n this smart mummy gave bbb alphabet W for replacement. jadi jugak they smilling happily. kekeke..

at night, was thinking need to pack how many pieces for all the children, then want to put in plastic containers or plastic bag will do. somemore i stop sister from bringing many cookies to her office, am afraid got no enough for the children n friends. and suddeny, TOMORROW STARTS 2 weeks SCHOOL HOLIDAYS!!! how to bring the cookies to the school? where got small friends to give the cookies to? haiya! blur blur mummy :(

then i packed more for sis's friends. then packed small packs for my colleagues children, and bring a plastic container of ABC cookies for my team members. must be feeling weird, why ABC for colleague :p anyway, i got good comment from friends n laogong about this cookies :D happy la.. so wait for next time la, only bake these cookies for the children in kinder :D

bought kiwi cake mix from Bagus. nthe taste is good, just a bit sweet to me :D children didnt eat much, maybe they dont like kiwi taste, so i brought some for my collegues in the office for the morning tea time snack :D

aiyo, been thinking if want to order the iphone from employee program. feel to try the new tech with same rebate. but then, hmmm want to spend the money for iphone or wii? hmmm...

happy teacher's day!

when talking to colleague, only i remembered, ya, teacher's day! friends were sharing what they planned to buy for the children school teachers, branded chocalate, special designed teacher's day mugs, branded ink pen... hmm i want my children to appreciate ppl kindness and prepare gift n value the gift with heart n not only money value of the gift. at 1st, i asked royee what card he wanted to give to the teachers, he said 'car!' a car, then we need to make 6 cars together :S limited time, n mummy was sick. then, i got the idea, we baked the muffin together!

HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!!!

mother's day celebration - dc31

for the past few years, we bought cakes from bakery for my mum in law as mother's day gift. this year, i want to do some cost saving here, coz 1 cake cost about rm60-70, if we bake our own cake, it cost rm10 the most. for simple cake la, my skillset level punya cake, rm10 can gaotim :p

so i baked a brownies walnut cake. it took me nearly an hour to be done. n i dont have the skewer, so my sis n i poke the cake with chopstick to see it done or not. i poke 1 hold only, sis tolong checked the cake for few times, then got so many holes :( so ugly!!

hmmm bcoz i was rushing, n i had no other better gift idea to my in law..

so i packed it up n brought it to sgbuloh..

once reached dc31, laogong said 'mummy, michelle baked a cake for u' then mum in law, 'har? u bake your own cake? :D my daughter in law can bake her own cake, i am so happy!' i shy shy entered the house. grandparents were so happy to meet up with grandchildren :D bbb were happy too, gong gong n po po here n there. especially there were so much food from grandparents, mummy said NO! also they didnt bother to listen :~

we makan dinner there. after dinner, parents in law n bbb n laogong went out to the playground. i stayed in the house n reading all the letters. a big pile! non stop buka those envelopes, i shall change my mailling addresses.. :( then they came back, sweating! 'mama mama mama' happy to see them :D i buat susu ready for them. then changed diapers for them.

then cake cutting ceremony started with my bro in law as well. father in law asked me, 'where did u buy this cake?' i baked it 'u baked it? i am very seldom to eat cake, but this one i like it, it is so tasty, not too sweet, ngam ngam' he repeated this twice. can feel that they really want to make me happy :) good encouragement from papa n mama :D

we left dc31 at nearly 9pm. hmmm miss the house actually. when i was in the house, all those old memories popping up, last time laogong used to do the house works there then i cooked in the kitchen, weekend we cleaned the curtian, bedsheet... those days :) well, grandpa n grandma non stop spoilt bbb with all the request, non stop food providing. ended up, angel threw out in the car on the way back home. hmm :( to in law, i might be a cruel mama, always stop my children from eating, but, they didnt understand, my children are premature babies, they are habitual vomitter, they have night asthma, they cant take food in big amount, they are not big eater.. hmm.. never mind la, luckily my mum controlled them well.. once a while like this, takpe lo.. as long as old ppl happy..

anyway, am happy to do something for in law to make them happy. hope 1 day, they can be proud with me this fatty daughter in law who is always tak dengar kata one :p
